DA Finder
Development applications, in your pocket. DA Finder helps the ACT community discover, follow and hear about development activity near them — designed, built and continuously improved by Stripy Sock since 2014.
Stripy Sock is a small Australian studio that designs and builds native iOS and Android apps — the kind that feel right at home on your phone and quietly get on with being useful.
For more than a decade we’ve made apps that help people follow what’s being built on their street, explore the place they live, and find support when it matters most. And we stick around: some of our apps have been in our care for twelve years and counting.

A digital companion for Ginninderry, the sustainable residential development on the ACT–NSW border. What began as a guide to the display village has grown into a community platform — events, services, walking tracks and audio guides in one coherent app.
A video game artwork by Ryan Presley, built with Stripy Sock and first commissioned by the National Portrait Gallery. Every sprite is drawn by hand and the score composed in-house, played on purpose-built arcade cabinets that tour art fairs around the country.
A research app for the Australian Institute of Sport that measures athletes' mental performance — psychometric surveys and reaction-time tasks with stimulus timing precise to a single frame — collecting consented research data and delivering it securely to ASC systems.
A private app supporting therapeutic group programs for people recently released from prison — designed by Stripy Sock, in partnership with TeleResult, to feel welcoming and supportive for an audience that institutional design could easily push away.
